On-line writer? article publisher? This site I found might be of interest to you.

This afternoon, I was spending my time surfing the net looking for websites that has articles on how to improve my writing. Half way browsing, I came through sites that offered on-line jobs as article writers. Having no job at the time, I decided to look through a couple of sites. The first site I entered has a simple layout offering lots of categories and job opportunities for on-line writers catering to different topics. It also has different ads that looked simple yet effective. Scrolled a bit, here and there, found interesting jobs but came late on applying since the sites offering seemed to have filled their needs. So I left the site and found another that seemed like a more sophisticated and formal site for on-line writers looking for a job, having a lay out consisting a well designed sidebar with a wide variety of topics from Arts and Literature to Travel. At first I was a bit cynic because it failed to accept my registration. I was only relieved when I opened my e-mail account and found their e-mail as to why my registration was not processed. They are currently updating their site at the moment and in a ''pause'' as to processing registration and content submission.

For those aspiring writers like me and interested in applying for an on-line job. Or if you just want to expand where you post your articles. This is a well organized site that can categorize your work and find it with ease. Please check out their website at

If you know other good sites like this.. Please post it under comments. I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

What is poverty?

Poverty is just an idea or thought. It is present in the minds of people, specially in developing countries. Now don't get me wrong, these countries have many resources that are yet to be tapped that entrepreneurs can use and give people different jobs. For us to have a better understanding of what poverty is we have to know some things first. As people, our roles in our family is to provide food, shelter and other necessities and these are the reasons why we make a living. In a modern age, this means that we have to make money. Now, very few people seem to understand what money is. Money just like poverty is an idea or thought. As a way for me to make my point. Let's remember our days of schooling. In the old days, people used to trade different things, such as food, clothing and handiwork among many things to interact with each other, then as our trading spread across the world we discovered different varieties of the basic needs (e.g. meat and vegetables which came from the land were traded for fish which came from water). Thus we need a more convenient method. Time came when people used clam shell, or different handy materials that we incorporated with value to make our purchases. Then came the use of coins and paper, much of what we see and touch today. In my observation, not understanding what it is gives poverty. We tend to cling on the material representation rather than seeing that its just a material that society uses to trade.

Prophetic story during supper

While we were having dinner tonight. I was intrigued by a statement that my grandmother said. My grandmother, being old at 77, always have stories from her past that she shares to me. And I enjoy listening to those stories of how life was during World War II. It's like crossing into a timeline where my mother wasn't even born. It draws pictures from imagination of how things were. How people traveled, what customs they had, lifestyle, and how they survived during the war. It was all so amusing. I can also recall of stories that she said was handed down from generations of our family. There is a story told where her grandmother, or her grandmother's grandmother said that "things" made of steel will be seen in the sky, (airplanes) some will float on water (boats), and some stories which i can only describe as a modern submarine. Those where told decades ago when nothing of the sort existed. My grandmother would tell me these hundred of times. She does not have any mystical power or anything, but sometimes she has a knack for saying things that comes true. Anyway, during supper she goes at it again. However, this time she mentioned a rather new story laid down by ancestors, it is said that, time will come where in money as we know it will change. It will be made of leather, and that will be a sign that apocalypse is near. And then she continued, ''i don't know, maybe it will come after millions of years''

Some poetry: Shadow

Stood there in the center of the door, with a light cast from behind, giving off a long silhouette of empty space. The shadow that recalled the memories of the past. Entered and found a fire place. Stared at the beauty that laid before, vividly detailed. Darkness that veils every passing of the hour, when sun sinks in the west, sends shivers down the spine. All those faces in the dark, whisper unsound and cryptic riddles. Body trembles, struggles to find day light, gasping for air.

It is here, in this room, a secluded place in my mind that I have battled the carnal nature of man, weathered the incessant storm of unholy torture. Of which was brought by self, an erring spirit searching for the Truth. I made my own fears. Only to find that it is folly. It is ignorance that made me suffer.

The overshadowed concept of midlife crisis, stress, and depression

Mid-life crisis is a natural process (first identified by the psychologist Carl Jung) and it is a normal part of 'maturing'. However, midlife crisis can sometimes feel very uncomfortable, and cause people to seek psychotherapy or counselling, or to make radical lifestyle changes that can be very damaging and are regretted later.

The process is not a strict 'sequence of events'. It consist of Accommodation, Separation, Liminality, Reintegration and Individuation.

*note: if you are presently undergoing a painfull transition, seek the support of family members or if this is unapplicable to you seek support from people you trust, have known you for years, and vice versa, and YOU consider as family. It would also help to whisper a private prayer daily as you seek knowledge and information about any problem on the way.
