Obtaining Articuno using egg trick

Haven't figured out how to get the actual and natural lvl 5 moves. So today, taking a break from trying a lot of ways to come up with hatched eggs having its actual lvl 5 moves, I decided to hatch an Articuno from the egg trick.

If we look at the hex number of Articuno from Glitch City Laboratories' Big hex list. We will see that it shares the same number with transform and dragon fang. This means we'll need 2 parent pokemon that will pass on the move transform. However, as we all probably know, there are only 2 pokemons in G/S/C that knows this move the amazing Ditto and the almost impossible to find Mew! 2 pokemons that does not produce eggs.

I found a solution of passing Ditto's transform move (or if you want to use Mew) to an egg (any egg, it doesn't matter what moves the parents has)

Requirements

- #255 glitched pokemon. (incidentally this pokemon is another form of #000 and appears after finishing the egg trick). #255 has the "ability" to copy any pokemon's moves, stats, gender, even species. It works much like 'M Charizard and or Q trick. The only difference is, #255 works its magic in your party. (not inside a box, which 'M Charizard requires).

This is what your party should look like,

Ditto
any pokemon
any pokemon
any pokemon
Egg
#255

I used an egg from magikarp. Now switch # 255 with the egg. Your party should now look like this,

#255
any pokemon
any pokemon
any pokemon
Egg
Ditto

Next, open the pc and using the 'move pkmn w/o mail' move a pokemon to the party.

O.T. (pokemon from box)
#255
any pokemon
any pokemon
any pokemon
Egg
Ditto

We should now have 7 in our party. Next, give #255 to day care. The party should now look like this,

O.T. (pokemon from box)
#255
any pokemon
any pokemon
any pokemon
Ditto (This is the egg and have now copied Ditto's name, LEVEL, stats and the move Transform) We can't see this if we click the egg.
Ditto (should now have a mushed sprite)

If you check out the egg (now named Ditto still has the egg sprite) it will have this message 'this Egg needs a lot more time to hatch'. Now many people believed that this is a "bad egg". However it is not, it just doubled its hatching time.

Ok, now store this Egg named Ditto in a box and setup your party for the egg glitch. You should come up with a #000. You can do this using #255 (maybe i'll write another article on how to do this)

Next follow the steps for the egg glitch. With a few exception, this time we will follow the original steps for the egg glitch. Deposit O.T and 2nd pokemon. Move the egg (named Ditto) from the pc using 'move pkmn w/o mail' to the party. Deposit the next TWO pokemon only. The egg (named Ditto) should be holding an item after we deposit the pokemon under it. And lose the item on the 2nd pokemon deposit. Hatch the egg (named Ditto). Remember hatching time is doubled and may take 45mins, atmost, riding up and down Goldenrod City.

EGG (named Ditto) status is as follows

''This Egg needs a lot more time to hatch"

''Wonder what's inside, it needs time though''

"It moves around inside sometimes, It must be close to hatching"

"It's making sounds inside. It's going to hatch soon"

Articuno will now rise from its Icy slumber! With a pokedex entry, its normal stats and LEVEL of the Ditto copied. Enjoy. ^_~

Pokemon Crystal: Easy Celebi Egg trick

My own version of the celebi egg trick. To view the original steps, go to Glitch City Laboratories.

This is an easy way to obtain any pokemon from Pokemon Crystal version just using GBC. This includes Celebi, and any pokemon (including 3 legendary birds, Moltres, Articuno and Zapdos) that has to be traded to evolve (like Gengar). Now they can be obtained without trading. I haven't tried it yet on Gold or Silver but I bet it will work on these two versions as well.

Requirements:

- Egg from 2 parent pokemons (Ex. 2 Sneasels that knows Beat Up as their 3rd move and have the same moveset.) This egg will hatch to a Celebi because of the move Beat Up.
IMPORTANT: You can use any pokemon just as long as it has Beat Up as its 3rd move. To acquire other pokemon, ex. Gengar, you would need to have Psychic as 3rd move of your parent pokemons.

- Bad clone (glitched pokémon , #000 on its status). The steps to obtain a bad clone are posted in Glitch City Laboratories. Acquiring a bad clone takes a lot of luck. It took me 1 day to obtain one.

- 4 good clones

- 1 unimportant pokémon inside any of your boxes.

- Do these steps inside the Daycare Center in Goldenrod City.

Step 1
- position 4 good clones, 1 egg, #000 pokemon in your party. Egg should be on the 3rd slot. #000 pokemon should be at 6th slot.

Step 2
- switch #000 pokemon with 1st pokemon.

Step 3
- go to pc. Use 'move pkmn w/o mail' option. Move any pokemon from any boxes to 1st slot of your party (its name should change to your name, or OT name).

Step 4
- switch egg with pokemon in your party that changed it's name to O.T.

Step 5
- give #000 to daycare old man, or, to daycare old lady.

Step 6
- Go to PC. Deposit 2nd, 3rd, and 4th slot pokemons from your party to PC.

Step 7
- by now your party should have the egg and 2 other pokemons.

Step 8

- withdraw all pokemons you deposited. (Tech stuff: doing this deactivates #000 "ability" to "fetch" any pokemon. One time it so happened that I neglected to do this, the party became a vault for all pokemon in game and froze the game).

Step 9
- release all pokemons in your party (inside the box where you deposited the pokemons) that has its OT changed to ( ? ).

IMPORTANT: The hatched eggs, while using this trick, will be at level 5 and has unusable glitched moves (It still learns all its natural moves through leveling). I am yet to figure out how it will have its actual and natural lvl 5 moves.

How to get Steelix from egg glitch.

The process may take long, Bear with me..

Lets start, we will need.
- Pokemon that knows the move Milk drink (Milk drink shares the same ''hex'' number with Steelix). Now I only know one pokemon that naturally learns this move, Miltank. Miltank has one ''flaw'' it only comes as female, which makes it difficult to breed. There are myths about Tauros being the male counterpart of Miltank but it's not true. Miltank is Miltank. Tauros is Tauros. They just share the same egg group. If you want, you can breed them to get an egg that will produce a Miltank with Milk drink.

- follow the steps for the egg glitch and you'll have your very own Steelix without trading nor using gameshark.

If Miltank + Tauros won't produce an egg that will know Milk drink. Proceed with the step below.

A pokemon named Smeargle has a move called sketch that permanently copies any move. Let it copy Milk drink from Miltank.

Next,
- breed Miltank with Milk drink as third move. (IMPORTANT) and a male Smeargle (Smeargle has m/f I have both of them). Miltank only produces a female baby (a Miltank). Which will copy all of Miltank's move.
